From the dark basement of the house, it is a pleasant experience to enter the sunny gardens of Het Loo. The official entrance were the beautiful gold plated doors on the first floor, that can still be admired. From these doors you enter the terrace overlooking the gardens.
 
Broad stairs bring you down to the paths below. The stairs are decorated with two allegorical figures, symbolizing the Gods of the Rhine and IJssel river.
